Happy Moon Biscuit Festival! (where are the bunnies and the chio bu fairy?)

Hola everybody! Not sure if anyone still reads this piece of disused blog but oh well, it's been a while since i've last written and now i've finally mustered enough determination to semangatly update my life abit.

Before i do just that, i just want to wish everybody a happy mid autumn! 月圆，月饼更圆，阖家齐聚乐团圆!

Anyways, i think i should change upgrade my desktop. Hmm, i'm setting my sights on this:

Buy? Don't Buy?

Yeah, the 27 inch, upgraded to 3.4ghz quad core i7 and radeon 6970m 2 gb. Which will set me back by about 3.5k. HAIZ. I'm sinking thinking. Just sinking thinking about it.

 

Allow me to rationalise my choice: Even if it may seems that i'm just being impulsive about it.

1. Just want to get a fast enough desktop that'll last me for the next 5 to 6 years i.e. future proofing. 
2. The 27 inch LED screen is oh-so tantalising. 
3. I can finally play PC games after, like, 5 years since i had my current desktop. Er, wait, didn't i just bought my PS3? Oh well, one can never get enough of gaming. 
4. Base on #3, yes, my current desktop is like 5 to 6 years already. Still working properly, but, well, hmm. WOLS. 
5. Who doesn't want an iMac with 27 inch screen, upgraded to 3.4ghz quad core i7, 8gb RAM and radeon 6970m 2 gb? 

Ok, other #1 and #4, i admit that the other points are merely driven by my irrationality. To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

The A to Z of AL EYE EFF YEE. The short answer is pretty good, kthxbai. The long answer is:

• I've got a job, starting to build a career. Looking forward to live the life. 
• My parents are like semi-retired, no longer need to slog at the food stalls, living the life. My mom's globetrotting whenever she can and my dad, though not as active, goes around playing chess (dam, draught, checkers or whatever you call it), going to turf club occasionally and all that. My brothers, well, think they're doing quite well too. 
• I've got Joey, the love, my love, who's got my back and i hope i've been doing enough of my part of getting hers.
• Good friends, whom are heading in all sorts of directions in their lives.
• I'm getting back in shape. Round, that is. Hmm, I shall muster enough mental strength to exercise but i suspect that it'll be tougher than what i have to do before updating this blog.
• I've just completed my in camp training for this year, 3 down and 4 to go. Looking forward to receiving the hamilton watch :) However, I ain't looking forward to the yearly IPPT liability. Not when the new IPT scheme is in effect next year for me. 
• I'm deeply infatuated with these currently:

300 over thousand dollars sial. haiz.

er, also 300 over thousand dollars, sial.

Oh well. All in all, just counting my blessings :)

I'm also planning for a year end trip too! But you know, it's a challenge to secure a 又批又漆又大脸谱你 deal.

Well, to elaborate abit, it's a year end getaway, but more importantly it's a celebration. Er, we've gotten together on a 24th Dec you see... ...

Anyways, I'm thinking of either a 4D3N or even better, 5D4N to any of the following places:

• Hong Kong! 买东西吃东西买东西吃东西! 
• Royal Carribean cruise with 3 port of calls 
• Bangkok? 
• Bali? 

Budget's about 500 bucks per pax for travelling and accommodation. Don't know if can la. I'll try my best. Let me know if you've got any 好康逃 ok?

Since we're on a topic related to travelling, here are some places i'd really like to go visit leisurely in the future when i can afford it:

• Taiwan (哦，阿里山的姑娘美如水呀...） 
• New Zealand (visit the LOTR site , see if really the population of cows really as much as Singapore's, bungee jump and tandem skydiving) 
• Germany (What else, for the Oktoberfest of course! Also not to forget, to drive along the Autobahn, and maybe around the legendary Nurburgring)

Looking back for the past couple of weeks.

Well, to summarise:

2) 100 days! :P

3) Batam trip! Fun! Could have just spent 1/3 of the money but i just had to buy stuff. Think Facebook pics can do better justice to describe the trip rather than myself blabbering here.

4) Got to ride and drive Taro. Even discovered the sports mode and also took on the 99 bends before the owner did. HAHA.

$3 Catch

I'm so freaking lucky. My first ever attempt at such machines and I caught this with 3 attempts...

Just look at the size relative to the table and chair, life size.

And relative to myself. I'm in awe, of myself.

And ends the happy shopping day for CNY clothes.

Bought like 2 tshirts, both the same design, just different colour, black and white.

Why? Because buying 1 is more expensive than buying 2. And the other designs really look like roadkill.

Didn't manage to get the Topman's Prawn Star tee. Sigh.

CNY coming woohoo!

I must say it's the best surprise so far these couple of decades.

A supper ruse. Unusual logging off before midnight. Called and not picking up.

This can only mean one thing.

The girl standing at my door when the clock strikes 12, wishing me happy birthday :)

So many things going through my mind now, as if I don't deserve all these dream like moments of surprises.

I blew the candles...

and it lit back up. Nabei! Trick candles siboh?

All the love in the world, I felt it tonight at my birthday.

Can't seem to wipe the smile off my face right now.

24 little donuts. Extra sweet. Feeling diabetic now.

It was just a mere comment during a shopping trip in Ikea and here it is, soon to be up on my wall.

A huge ass card that only emphasize that I'm big in size.

A nice shirt I can wear to office, remembering today, feeling as though I'm being hugged to work.

The day will be remembered in the days to come.

I can only remind myself, I should cherish every second I have with this very special person whom I found, that may very well be my soulmate.

Think I am growing fonder and fonder of her. More and more. Today's definitely the icing on the cake.

Or maybe...

At this point of time I'm completely smittened and I have irrationally come to a conclusion that...

Maybe it's love actually.

27/01/2010, a perfect start for the year.

First Post of the Year

I think, work aside, somehow my life seems balanced now. There's always something to look forward to after a grueling day at work, something to work towards and solace (healthier options) is more accessible now.

Solace in the past usually falls short of getting pissed drunk.

I must say it was a pleasant surprise for me, somehow my confession worked too well and resulting to what I have now. Funny how life works. 比先苦其心志, before you know it, the next brick it throws at you is actually jello. Tastes nice too.

I'm not hao-lianing or anything now. In fact it's precisely the fact that I understand the fragility of things, I appreciate the current status quo even more. Cynics say it's probably progressing too soon too fast. I say if it ends before it's started than I guess it's probably a beautiful nightmare.

Look at the stars, look how they shine for you...

the last post of the year

999th post. i dedicate this to the end of 2009.

2009 was a down and up year. many uncertainties about work, about life, about future and about everything else.

until the end of year. until xmas eve. my life flipped into new chapter. i found someone.

oh well. it was good. it was good. it's all good :)

no doubt work is getting hectic.

no doubt the future still has its uncertainties.

but life took a turn, and i wish for the better!

And it shall be for this. The best friend said it wasn't official till I asked and I made some arrangements.

Pulled off the <3 actually stunt but well, the reaction from the friend suggest it was abit lame. But oh well, i did it anyway.

New Chapter

I'm so afraid right now that's it's just a beautiful dream that I have last night.

It was just a simple spread of hams, bread, salad, chips, raspberry and a bottle of wine. I gotta thank bert for the Bose umzhit and Nic for the list of "top Christmas hits".

The crisp wetness of the grass, the ominous soaked clouds, the cheerful lightings on the trees, the warm fuzzy contact and finally the surreal deal sealer.

And nope I didn't enlist the help of 'MisterToh"

If it's real, then Christmas Eve will mean something different from now on.

Meanwhile I'll just go burst myself 100 times with joy.
