glad that things are better for you.
i saw that smile i haven't seen in ages.
hee =)
onwards to work tomorrow! chiong!
i just need to adjust abit. i'm just afraid to be getting used to the attention/attention given/time spent with and then i screw it all up again by my stupid behaviour when the inevitable happens just like i did the last time.
didn't mean to spoil the day, if i did. i will be more positive, or at least try to appear so!

I don't think I know that guy
but twice he said hi when he jogged past me/i jogged past him 40 minutes later.
anyways.
i think i had too much candy.
or i'm not sure if it's the candy.
but after i came back i bathed.
and had a few more pieces.
I'm trying to come up with the following:
- what i would crave to eat tomorrow.
- what i would like to do very much tomorrow.
sat and sun! woohoo~~~!

从前的模样又悄悄的浮现
再做一次心理准备吧。

learning to breathe with lesser and lesser and maybe finally no air.

Wednesday 25/06 Around evening time.
After the don't-care-whether-got-another-interview-just-sign-the-damn-contract issue, I decided to have dinner.
Taka's basement got a decent omu rice stall. Kinda expensive though. 10 dollars for a set meal with a bottle of drink.
I've got One Piece #47 as company.
Didn't know where to go, so...
I paid Lyn a visit at Far East Plaza. 老板娘就是老板娘.
And she went off to meet her friend 20 minutes later.
Wanted to take a bus but all looked full.
Walked back to the Orchard Station to take the mrt.
The journey felt long enough, I guessed I dozed off as soon I found a seat with One Piece in my hands.
-++==~~~~==++--++==~~~~==++--++==~~~~==++--++==~~~~==++-
Short note: I hope it was edible. o_o

Hi, my name is Du Lan. People call me Si Bei Du Lan.
1) It's late at night. Traffic is easily maneuverable.
2) I'm borrowing the car not to play. I need to go print my resume for tomorrow's interview. But my friend is going to be back only at 11.30pm or even later.
3) Alternatively, I could take a bus and wait like an idiot there and come home by cab. Or to cab there and back when the time is up.
4) I admit I'm not very steady at driving. But it's night time. They'd rather I take bus. At last my mom gave up, say "take cab la take cab la".
5) Now. Reasonably speaking, did my logic fail me or am I being unreasonable?
6) I think I'm being unreasonable because I asked if I could borrow the car to drive to my friend's place (as I need to print out my resume) because
- I've got a driving license
- night time's traffic conditions is too congested and challenging for an amateur driver like me
- I'm an amateur driver unsuitable to drive a pickup
- Bukit Panjang is too far a place to drive to for an amateur driver like me. The journey is too perilous and difficult to negotiate and I will definite get into accidents should I venture through the dark straight roads alone.
7) My logic failed me because apparently taking a cab with midnight charges seems cheaper than letting me drive. Don't ever let me drive folks! I sure buang your car! Just ask my parents how bad and worrying my driving is.
8) Of course I'd like to enjoy the feeling of cruising on the roads but I think I'd do it in a vehicle more suitable for cruising. I am not fucking desperate to drive, or else I would take over my dad the chance that I fucking get despite the constant nagging of "go slow go slow!!!" when I'm travelling at 70km/h.
I just would enjoy the slight freedom of having the car and using it at times like this when I needed it most. Especially for occasions like today, printing of resumes for interview tomorrow and my friend isn't back till midnight and I can't foresee that I can turn to anyone for printing of stuff tomorrow.
9) Oh. You want to tell me I should have it printed during the day and/or earlier before? How about I tell you the motherfuckin agency called me at 7pm today telling me the employer would like to interview me tomorrow 5pm? My friends would be in camp/working/school so I deserved all the bad karma for seeking help today.
10) The conversation with my mom after asking for the car is redundant. Note that I've already explained all the above to her. Where I'm going to print. What time I'm going over. What time I'm coming back. What time my friend is coming back later today.
She said even she's in the car when I'm driving she's abit scared. Now that she's not in car she even more worried. My mom cares about me, no doubt =)
But she asked
- where I'm going to do the print
- why I don't want to take a bus there and why I'm still at home (at 10pm) I should take a bus there first and wait there (this is my fault I should have gone there earlier and wait there for 2 hours for my friend to come back)
- why cannot print tomorrow (I failed to let her understand the issue of timing. I needed it by tomorrow 4pm latest before the interview. I failed to let her understand people need to work/go camp/study during the day time and not like me bumming around at home)
- why there's a need to take a cab (due to the question "why cannot go tomorrow" erm anyone knows why must I take a cab to and fro my destination (note: Bukit Panjang) at 12 midnight?)
I can only come to a conclusion that she heard what I said but doesn't listen to me. Like always. As usual.
Lastly she said
"take cab la take cab la"
Wasting money on cabs to and fro is better than letting me drive.
Conclusion is, I can forever be trying to borrow the damn car and not succeeding, or I win the toto and buy a bloody car myself, or I can wait till I'm 30 years old with stable income and savings and own a car myself.
I mentioned in some older posts what my 2nd bro told me, and this incident reminded myself of that. “要驾车啊?自己买啰!我以前要借也是接不到.”
And I got my bloody license at 20 years old. Dear all. Don't bother getting a license if your parents especially disapprove you driving alone.
Sibei Dulan. It's the same old shit again.
I gonna take cab at night be it for official or non-official reasons so as not to disobey my parents.

Curry Favor: To seek or gain favor by fawning or flattery
For those who think they love Japanese curry but have never been to Curry Favour, THINK AGAIN.
For those who wants to go but never had the chance, call me.
For those who had been there and die-also-want to go back, call me.
For those who are excited by the pictures of the food (er, if it was my picture, then...), and want to visit the place, call me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A twice a year outing =) We set foot on this place:

The menu!

Great ambience, especially before the meal times. It's rather conducive for conversations. Once it reaches the meal times, people started flooding in the restaurant as if there's free food served.
Me. I have the ability of not knowing that I was being taken picture of.

I still can't decide between a curry stew or katsu curry. And death by chocolate or Matcha Cheesecake-ala-mode. And the drinks. Man, all of them looked so good it's tough making a choice yannoe?

The entrees come with either miso soup or a salad. Oh well, I wished they let me have both though. HMMMMM.....

Close up, close up! See the corn kernels? Nope, it's nothing special. It's the salad dressing. I remember tasting it at Tonkichi before. But till now what it actually is remains a mystery to me.

Hot Chocolate! No, I didn't order this, as much as I loved chocolate. I wanted to get the iced chocolate from JCO Donuts at Raffles City's basement. Sigh. Sold out everytime. EVERY SINGLE TIME. (I was contemplating to get the matcha milkshake but.... my dessert...)
swirl swirl chocolate swirl~~~~
This, is a godlike item. It looks like fried mussels from MOS burger dunchathink? But no. Introducing the 'Stuffed Mushrooms'! Button mushrooms stuffed with mashed seafood (prawns? fish? squid?), dipped in batter and fried till golden brown. OMFG. You gotta taste it to believe it.
Comes with 3 sauces too! Godlike!
Here's the highlight of the day. Pork stew! However, it is damn good. I repeat. IT IS DAMN GOOD. The meat is tender. Very tender. I thought it will be tough to chew because stews I've tasted so far were like that. I ordered the spicy version and I thank myself(GODLIKE) for that. As the regular version tasted abit bland, not too sweet though, to my liking. I don't like those super sweet curries which tasted like those convenient japanese curries.
This ungodlike picture is not taken by me.
Seriously, are you sure you are not hungry just by looking at this?
Close up! This is a godlike picture taken by me!
Are you very sure? Seriously the serving is quite big. But I still polished off the rice as I don't wanna waste the curry. OMG I can imagine the taste in my mouth now.
And this godlike picture too!
Fish Cheese Katsu! It's a nice alternative if you don't feel like eating pok(i can't resist misspelling this) or chee-kennn~!(come ah! you not happy issit want to fight ar? Chee-kennn~~!). I digressed. But, I can imagine how the pok cheese katsu taste, the cheese oozing out, the curry over it, omg.......

Apple crumble-ala-mode. A slice of warm apple crumble served with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Quite decent! Maybe I prefer Gelare's version better and I get to choose the flavour of the ice-cream. But I didn't order this for myself.

The matcha cheesecake-ala-mode. The cheesecake reminds me of nonya kueh or agar agar. The top layer being the cheese(kueh like texture), the second layer being the red bean (WOOHOO! agar agar like texture) and the bottom layer being the green tea flavoured kueh agar agar mixed texture. And of course there's a biscuity base~~ Ok la, quite decent... BUT~~~~~~~~~~~
I order one, of course godlike~
The matcha ice cream is GODLIKE, and so I've heard curry favour is famous for the matcha ice cream... smooth and creamy texture with the fragrance of matcha....YUM YUM~~

Total bill comes up to be about $84 inclusive of service charge and GST. Seriously with food this good and good ambience, you can't really complain about the price. It's 1 appetizer + 2 entrees + 2 desserts + 1 beverage mind you.
Well this is the adventures of the 1-year-2-times-outing!
The end.
